My first tip is to make sure that you have a few carabiner clips at home for after your baby is discharged from the NICU. Yes, carabiner clips! After discharge, your NICU grad will have several doctor appointments and carabiner clips will make it easier for you to transport all of your bags to and from appointments. A fellow NICU mama shared this tip with me shortly after my son was discharged and it just made every so much easier. I use them to clip my son’s diaper bag and G tube bag to his stroller, allowing me to keep my hands (and arms) free.
